Who we are !!!!!

WMRC (Wednesday Morning Running Club) meets every Wednesday morning 5:15 AM at the upper Squaw Peak Drive parking lot near the base of Piestewa Peak. Our trail runs are throughout the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and are between one and one half hours long. Our goal in to promote and encourage trail running for all abilities from the beginner to the ultra marathon runner.

I found your site by typing in Wednesday Morning Running Club in Google! I'm busy every morning of the week except Wednesday. Perfect!! One question. I'm slow as snot, would I still be welcomed?

I'm taking my one-a-day vitamins so I hope to get faster soon.

Also, I don't like dorky spandex bicyle clothes. You don't have any members that wear them do you?

We don't endorse any tight fitting clothes. We don't like bicyclers either. We take all speeds. Were you in a one-a-day vitamin commercial?/

mtn runner, no I wasn't in a one-a day commercial. However, they have a great product and have been know to use very talented models.

I'm glad you take all speeds. I will give it a try next wednesday.

It was great bumping into your group along the trail this morning. I travel to Phoenix a few times a month and am often here on Wednesday mornings and will definitely come out and join you next time for the whole run.

I am organizing two teams for the Reno Tahoe Odyssey next month (24 hour relay starting Friday 6/6 around noon in Reno; http://www.renotahoeodyssey.com/) and need one more runner. Each runner runs about 3 - 5 miles runs over 16 hours. You seemed like a great group of crazy runners and I thought I would check to see if anyone was interested. E-mail me at mcolety@hotmail.com if you want more information.
